The Story So Far!
DJ Chris Bladen started on the bassline scene in 2004. He started his djing career with a residency in Bar Med, Birmingham. Internet Radio was next. DJ Chris Bladen started by djing on various radios before moving on to radio station special events. He currently plays slots in clubs in Northampton, Birmingham and sometimes Walsall. In 2005 he launched his producing career, with his first co-produced release due out in March 2006 on Flipside Records.
The Scene!
Speed Garage, or Bassline House, whatever you call it, its the sound that is exploding out of control. Featuring the big basslines of speed garage and the uplifting vocals and breakdowns of classic house, its gained a huge following with its own DJs , Clubs , Record Labels, Producers and Pirate Stations. Since 2000 there has been an explosion in the number of new bassline productions being made and new labels such as Jump, Reflective, Nocturnal, Studiobeatz, Gridlocked, Flipside and Ecko, to name a few, have sprung up.
